TAEC EXECUTIVE TEAM

JAY W. SAMPLE

PRESIDENT and CEO

Jay Sample is President and CEO of TAEC providing executive management and leadership borne of over 20+ years of experience in the telecommunications sector, 17 of which Mr. Sample has spent at the executive management level. Mr. Sample is responsible for financial management, corporate development and professional staff training. In addition to corporate oversight, Mr. Sample is actively involved in expanding client relationships and acquiring new business, with over $100M in sales to date. Working to create continuity and synergy among the company markets and divisions, Mr. Sample frequents each company location overseeing changes and innovations within the company.

Mr. Sample joined Technology Associates in 2005, was appointed Vice President in 2010, named President in 2014 and elected CEO in 2018. He also serves on the TAEC Board of Directors. Prior to operating within the telecommunications sector, Mr. Sample was a successful private real estate development professional. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

He and his wife, Christine, enjoy traveling, golf, and spending time with their family, especially their grandson.

 

MARK GRIMES

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER – WIRELESS DIVISION

Mark Grimes has over 24 years professional experience in the Wireless and Public Safety Telecommunications industry, as well as significant business development and management experience in the following fields: Energy & Power Solutions, GIS, Security, Asset Management, Environmental Consulting, and Government Contracting. Mr. Grimes is a business development and management consulting professional, with backgrounds in convergence telecom and synergistic professional disciplines, including Executive Management roles and Boards of Directors responsibility.

Mr. Grimes’ professional experience includes consulting, management, engineering, and deployment services for wireless and public safety telecom network infrastructure projects. He has lead the acquisition of new business in excess of $450M across his career.

Mr. Grimes’ expertise includes executive and director-level management, administration, operations, sales, and financial reporting; providing professional staff training on project and program management responsibilities; and corporate development activities that include a particular expertise in extending an existing company’s services portfolio into new sectors, forging collaboration, alliances, and expansion in league with strategic partners.

A graduate of the University of Missouri, and the John F. Kennedy School of Law, Mr. Grimes and his wife Kristina enjoy travel, family adventures, and time with friends.

 

TIA LOVERRO

VICE PRESIDENT

Tia LoverroTia Loverro is Vice President at TAEC, managing multiple divisions and varied teams of professional staff. Mrs. Loverro is an emerging telecom veteran known within the industry for creative solutions and for leading high-accountability, results-oriented teams. Mrs. Loverro’s historic areas of expertise include project management, site acquisition and development, project coordination, client relations, financial reporting, and divisional management, each area of which aided her in progressing in her career to her current position. She is driven, a motivator of staff, and meticulous in detail, all of which contribute to her leadership success.

Mrs. Loverro is a graduate from the Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon. She spends her free time chasing her two toddlers around Central Oregon and enjoying the outdoors.

 

TODD TELKAMP

VICE PRESIDENT

Todd TelkampTodd Telkamp is a Senior Operations Executive with extensive experience in driving growth, change, and improved operational efficiencies for both mid-size and Fortune 500 companies. Having previously held a number of leadership roles spanning over his 20 year career in telecommunications, Todd has a proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams to achieve or exceed targets. He currently serves as Technology Associates’ Vice President, based out of Seattle.

Todd is a graduate of Texas State University with a degree in Business Administration / Marketing and enjoys CrossFit, Yoga and endurance events that no one else wants to do.
