JAY W. SAMPLE
PRESIDENT and CEO
Jay Sample is President and CEO of TAEC providing leadership experience born of over 17 years of experience in the telecommunications sector, 14 of which Mr. Sample has spent at the executive management level. Mr. Sample is responsible for financial management, including projects budgeted at over $100 million, corporate development, and professional staff training. In addition to corporate oversight, Mr. Sample is actively involved in expanding client relationships and acquiring new business, with over $100M in sales to date. Working to create continuity and synergy among the company markets and divisions, Mr. Sample frequents each company location overseeing changes and innovations within the company. Mr. Sample joined Technology Associates in 2005, was appointed Vice President in 2010, named President in 2014 and elected CEO in 2018. Prior to operating within the telecommunications sector, Mr. Sample was a successful private real estate development professional. He is a graduate from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
MARK GRIMES
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
Mark Grimes has over 20 years professional experience in the Wireless and Public Safety Telecommunications industry, as well as significant business development and management experience
in the following fields: Energy & Power Solutions, GIS, Security, Asset Management, Environmental Consulting, and Government Contracting. He is a business development and management consulting professional, with backgrounds in convergence telecom and synergistic professional disciplines, including Executive Management roles and Boards of Directors responsibility.
Mr. Grimes’ professional experience includes consulting, management, engineering, and deployment services for wireless and public safety telecom network infrastructure projects, currently serving as
TAEC’s lead implementation point of contact for the FirstNet National First Responder Broadband Network. He has lead the acquisition of new business in excess of $400M across his career.
Mr. Grimes expertise includes executive and director-level management, administration, operations, sales, and financial reporting; providing professional staff training on project and program management responsibilities; and corporate development activities that include a particular expertise in extending an existing company’s services portfolio into new sectors, forging collaboration, alliances, and expansion in league with strategic partners.
SUSAN KIMBROUGH
VICE PRESIDENT
Susan Kimbrough currently serves as Vice President of Wireless Operations for TAEC and oversees activities related to developing, maintaining, modifying and building network systems for large wireless carriers. As Vice President of Wireless Operations, she is responsible for markets in the Pacific Northwest and the Midwest. She also spearheads business development efforts nationwide for the Company.
Since joining TAEC in 2014, she has grown the Seattle market from a three-person operation to over 18 employees, leading teams managing large-scale development volume across several carriers. Over her twenty years in the wireless industry, Susan has held various roles managing departments and territories across the U.S. with large wireless operators, tower asset management companies, and smaller consulting firms. Throughout her career, she has developed an expertise ranging from overseeing various operational aspects, managing small and large-scale budgets, with a reputation for providing a superior product to clients.
She has a thorough knowledge of real estate, site acquisition, land use, entitlements, compliance, engineering and construction. In her spare time, she enjoys golf, skiing, and travel with her family.
MICHAEL MURDOCK
VICE PRESIDENT
Michael Murdock, Vice President-Fiber Group, resides in Orange County, California and has been in the telecommunications (telecom) industry for over 22 years. Mr. Murdock oversees all TAEC Fiber (OSP) sales & operations for the U.S.
Over his career, Michael has overseen numerous wireless and fiber network deployments from the carrier to the vendor side of the business. Mr. Murdock has managed $100+ million revenue per year, has started new lines of telecom business and markets, and has been instrumental in several telecom mergers and acquisitions within the U.S. and the Middle East. Michael’s focus over the past four years has been on fiber engineering, its application within the wireless technology, and line powering systems that have supported two major competitive local exchange carriers.
Mr. Murdock’s prior experience to telecom was in architecture and contract administration. As an entrepreneur, Michael administered multimillion-dollar hospital construction projects, high schools, large multi-residential complexes, and roads & highways throughout Canada.
